Hyderabad: A Ramalingeshwara Justice Rao in Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday directed the state government Telangana and Hyderabad JNTU to include several schools on the list of schools for admission of students in the counseling process for the academic year EAMCET- 2015 -16.

The judge was dealing with a batch of petitions by the managements of private engineering colleges defying action JNTU Hyderabad authorities in carrying out inspections and disenrollment. Ramalingeshwara Justice Rao led the Varsity review their regulations with the help of legal experts, academics and university managements.

He said a few rules varsity were invalid because they overlap with those of the All India Council for Technical Education. The judge directed the regional center AICTE to form a team and carry out the verification of the weaknesses identified by the JNTU and waiting for the decision, the institutions will be included in the web counseling scheduled July 8.

The judge made it clear that the exercise of the regional center shall be completed on or before July 20 in order to allow the JNTU to communicate its decision to end enrollment before the academic year and to inform students and managements of colleges of their temporary membership.

“It is open for JNTU to conduct verification and make a decision in the case of the other institutions (apart from schools petitioner) approach her on the floor erroneously reporting deficiencies,” said the judge and dismissed the petitions.
“Judgment of the Supreme Court on Tuesday methods do not provide conducive for conducting counseling sessions, so we’ve put out for a couple of days,” said Ramana Rao, Secretary, JNTU-H.

A late night JNTU press release said: “The university has decided to go for an appeal against the leadership of the HC to include 80 private engineering colleges in the counseling process A request has been made by the university lawyer General to take. necessary steps to file an appeal. Until proper order is passed by the division bench of the Supreme Court, the counseling process will be postponed. ”

Officials Telangana State Council for Higher Education said the new advisory schedule will be announced on Wednesday night.

Earlier in the day, troviding relief to roughly 80 private engineering colleges in Telangana, the highest court in the Technological University Jawaharlal Nehru directed, Hyderabad (JNTU-H) to grant provisional membership to universities that function as institutions approved during the last three years.

Court directive see the number of engineering seats up nearly a lakh in the state giving relief to thousands of students, officials said.

The HC said that all these schools, which are affiliated to JNTU-H, should be allowed to participate in the process of web counseling. Before engineering schools moved the high court, 76 635 seats were available for counseling. Now, more than 40,000 seats will be added, providing more options for students in the first phase of counseling is to begin on Wednesday.

While 90 556 qualified EAMCET this year, more than 25,000 student seats are likely to remain vacant. Last year, nearly 30,000 seats were left vacant after the first phase of counseling.

Justice Rao was dealing with dozens of petitions from various engineering colleges that they have been harmed by the decision of JNTU-H to cancel your membership. Agreeing with the arguments raised by S Niranjan Reddy, the council engineering colleges, the judge made it clear that JNTU-H can not impose the same conditions that were already imposed by the Council of All India for Technical Education ( AICTE). Consequently, all these rules imposed by JNTU-H, which overlap with those set by AICTE were declared invalid.

Cope with the burden of varsity that these colleges lack of infrastructure facilities, the judge directed AICTE to delegate a team of experts to inspect the institutions. The team has to submit its report to JNTU, after which it has to pass a final order on the subject of the agreement (or not) membership to these colleges on July 28.
