The demand for Bharata Ratna award to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao picked up momentum at a time when the AP leaders take up with the centre the issue of honoring Telugu film matinee idol and TDP founder President NT Rama Rao with the highest civilian award in the country.
KCR Bharata Ratna Banao Abhiyan Organisation said KCR deserved such great honour as he was the only leader realized the dreams and aspirations of 4 crore people in Telangana.
The organization has taken up one crore signature campaign and submit the same President Pranab Mukherjee requesting him to consider the demand to award Bharata Ratna to KCR.
