Sartaj Aziz did not respond to my letter on Jadhav’s mother visa: Sushma

shushmaNew Delhi: Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj has criticized her Pakistani counterpart, Sartaj Aziz, for “not showing courtesy to recognize” her letter on a visa for Kulbhushan Jadhav’s mother.

Jadhav was sentenced to death by a Pakistani military court for alleged espionage.

Swaraj also denied that a medical visa was refused to a Pakistani cancer patient on the basis of “deterioration of the ties” between the two countries.

According to an NDTV report, Fahida Tanveer (25), who suffers from a vigorous tumor in her mouth, claimed that she had applied for a medical visa that was rejected. According to Tanveer’s family, his application was rejected because of “deterioration of ties.”

She then tweeted Swaraj asking her “save her life”, as she had already made half the payment, but was unable to get a medical visa.

However, Swaraj denied the charge, tweeting that Aziz had not given a recommendation letter as required.

“I have my sympathies for all Pakistani nationals seeking medical visa for their treatment in India. I am sure that Mr. Sartaj Aziz also takes into account for nationals of his country. All we need is his recommendation for the Medical visa grant to Pakistan Nationals, “she tweeted.
