Samsung launches two new HDR QLED game monitors

samsungSamsung Electronics introduced the future of the games with the introduction of its new curved monitors CHG90 and CHG70, which feature the powerful High Dynamic Range (HDR) image enhancement technology normally reserved for televisions. When combined with the CHG90’s ultra-wide design and quantum dot composition of CHG70, Samsung claims that this HDR integration produces a realistic and detailed image that shows games exactly as the developers intended and dramatically improves play with crisp colors and contrast sharp.

A more vivid and detailed game environment

QLED quantum dot technology aims to provide a new metal core and support approximately 125 percent of the sRGB color spectrum and 95 percent of the Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI-P3) film standard to deliver an exceptionally wide range of colors.
The Samsung CHG90 sets the new visual standard for game screens by projecting a 32: 9 aspect ratio and a 3,840 × 1,080 Dual Full HD (DFHD) resolution through a 49-inch screen. The CHG90 expands the playing field for gamers, with its broad design surpassing industry standards while simultaneously representing the widest monitor in the company’s portfolio. The monitor offers an impressive 1,800R curvature and an ultra-wide 178 degree viewing angle, keeping content visibility from any location within a given space. As a result, players no longer have to worry about the logistics, expenses and interference of the central bezel that occur when multiple smaller monitors are combined together for an expanded view.
