Expectations were quite high on Naga Chaitanya, Shruti Haasan, Anupama Parameswaran and Madonna Sebastian starrer youthful romantic entertainer Premam and the movie didn’t disappoint the audiences.
However, first day collections in Telugu states are just decent. The movie raked Rs 2.36 cr share in AP and Nizam. It is biggest solo opener for Naga Chaitanya, but is less than what was expected.
Interestingly, Premam’s first day collections in Nizam area aren’t up to the mark. It minted Rs 85 lakhs from the region. Box office performance of the film is mediocre in other territories too, owing to multiple releases. Here is area wise break up
As per trade analysts, Premam will have great run until dussehra holidays end because of positive talk it gained from critics as well as movie buffs. It is expected to be dussehra winner, since all other films released in last two days have failed to entertain.
