PM will meet for the implementation of the promises: Andhra Pradesh CM

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today said Prime Minister plans to meet this month to seek the implementation of the promises made during the fork Andhra Pradesh last year.

“We will talk with Prime Minister Narendra Modi this month and try to get what is owed to us after the split,” he said during a visit to the district of Kurnool.

Andhra Pradesh was promised “special status” and several other benefits as substantial financial assistance for the former undivided fork AP last year.

The ruling Telugu Desam and BJP combine have been attacked by the main opposition YSR Congress, Congress and the left parties for not meeting the special status and other promises, even after coming to power a year ago.

The Rs 25,000 crore ‘Grama Jyothi’ program aims to give more powers to gram panchayat. It expects the program to improve the delivery of basic amentieis as drinking water, sanitation, health and nutrition, education, infrastructure, etc., to bring together the efforts of various departments working gram panchayat level that otherwise operates independent.
