The leading distributor Cine Galaxy has followed the Hollywood style in reporting the numbers of the film. Katamarayudu premier gross won’t be reported. Premier box office numbers will be rolled into Friday Box Office number and will be reported on Saturday.
This is the way distributor CineGalaxy have set it up at Rentrak and this is the way Hollywood movies work. There will be no hourly collection updates.
It means till Saturday, there would be no reporting of USA collections of the film.
Staying true to the title of ‘King of Openings’, Pawan Kalyan has successfully drawn people to theatres to watch a star-less film ‘Katamarayudu’. The action entertainer has stood at All Time Top 3rd place as far as Day 1 numbers are concerned.
The Shruti Haasan starrer has reportedly collected a share of Rs 22.33 Cr and it stands just behind Megastar’s Khaidi No.150 (23.2 Cr) and Baahubali (22.4 Cr). One can find that the margin is very less among the three films.
