Shikaripur: A 24-year-old man died Thursday night after he was hit by the SUV of an MLA from Shikaripur in Karnataka.
The deceased, Suresh, was shot down by the SUV in which Raghavendra, the former minister of Karnataka, son of BS Yeddyurappa was traveling. The accident occurred near the Madapura Cross in the Taluk Honnali, when the MLA was heading for Shikaripur.
The man was a resident of the village of Madapura in the district. After the accident, hundreds of people gathered at the scene.
Honnali inspector JR Ramesh and former Minister M.P. Renukacharya visited the place.
A complaint has been lodged at the Nyamathi police station.
