Hyderabad Metro delay irritates chief secretary Telangana

Telangana chief secretary Rajiv Sharma stopped GHMC officials and collectors of the districts of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy not to accelerate the acquisition of properties to be delivered to Metro Rail. There are over 500 properties not yet purchased. According to sources, “The problem is with the revenue department officials. Those who inspect these properties alert the owner to protest or get a stay order from the court. Once the order comes, the lower officials are not giving clarity to the various departments. This is causing a lot of delay in acquiring the property. ”

While 124 properties around the city have been purchased but are still in the “verification stage ‘and the reason for not giving the check to the owner not being clarified.
According to sources at the meeting, the chief secretary Rajiv Sharma fell heavily in the municipal commissioner Mr Somesh Kumar and asked him to look at the latter stage and what was the problem in cleaning it.

At the same time, the L & T Hyderabad Metro Rail has been asked to submit reports on the feasibility of alternate alignment in three locations, Old Town, Assembly and Sultan Bazar.

Mr. Sharma has asked officials L & T to accelerate its study-roof shopping and to the implications at the earliest. Officers L & T said: “It’s a time consuming process and we have to map the area properly understand the number of people who will be affected due to the re-alignment, new properties that come on the road and also the new path where the train has to rotate. These multiple aspects require proper study and that will take some time. “
