Hyderabad: 165 parties for Ganesh

ganeshHyderabad: This year the municipal corporation for the 11 days Ganesh festivities has spent about Rs 5 crore towards preparations. For security and gentle immersion and celebrations, the corporation has deployed 165 Ganesh action teams every three or four kilometers.

A TAO has a sanitary supervisor, jawan, three sweepers and 21 workers, all working in three shifts.

About 236 vehicles are deployed for the dive, and more than 33,000 additional streetlights have been provided. Cranes have been installed at several dive sites, 27 cranes at Hussainsagar, 18 at Tankbund and nine at NTR marg.

In addition to these three main dive sites, there are 25 dive ponds and each of these ponds has a crane each. It has been allowed to immerse in 25 tanks, namely Kapra Cheruvu, Saroornagar, Rajanna Bavi, Miralam Tank, Palle Cheruvu, Patti Kunta Cheruvu, Durgam Cheruvu, Malkam Cheruvu, Gopinagar Cheruvu, Pedda Cheruvu, Gangaram, Gurunatham Cheruvu, JP Nagar, Kaidamma Kunta, Hafizpet, Erla Cheruvu, Majeera Road, Vinayaka Nagar, Rayasamudram Lake, RC Puram, Sakicheruvu, Patancheruvu, IDL Tank

Cheruvu of Pragathinagar, Hasmathpet cheruvu, Sunnam Cheruvu, Pariki Cheruvu, Cherellu Cherubu of Surell Cherubu, Kotha Cheruvu (Alwal Lake), Lake Safilguda.

The last day of immersion is September 5 and the state government has declared the day as a holiday. The dive will start at 6 am. Previously, the dive used to continue the next day as well, but this time the state management agencies intend to complete the dive on September 5th.
