Centro ‘Most Generous’ to Andhra Pradesh, Telangana says Minister

HYDERABAD: A month before the first anniversary of the creation of Telangana, a senior minister in the government TRS accused the government of Narendra Modi to be “more generous” to Andhra Pradesh, which is regulated by TDP Chandrababu Naidu, a key ally in Center.

“The Centre took almost nine months to Telangana its share of IAS officers … The bifurcation of the High Court has not yet occurred, while the division of state employees by a committee appointed by the Centre has not yet completed, “Raa K Taraka Rama, son of the head of TRS and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said.

“If the central government was a bit more useful, could have done much better,” Press Trust of India.

The TRS government completes a year in office on June 2, the day when the new state – carved in Andhra Pradesh – was born.

Mr. Rao, Panchayati Raj and Minister of Information Technology of the state, also feels the “friction” between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh residual on issues such as the sharing of river water is “natural”.

“There are problems between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, including Maharashtra and (then undivided) Andhra Pradesh. This is unnatural or out of the world.

“When such a process (fork) happens, there is bound to be a bit of rain. We (the Telangana government) have behaved in a more mature way than expected,” he said.
