Actress Anushka Shetty will be seen making a special appearance in director Vamsi Paidipally’s tentatively titled movie “Dosth”, starring Akkineni Nagarjuna and Karthi in the lead roles.

“Dosth” is a remake of French comedy drama film “The Intouchables”. Written by Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano, the movie is about an aristocrat, who hires a young man to be his caregiver after he becomes a quadriplegic from a paragliding accident. The plot of the film is inspired by a real-life story.

Nagarjuna is playing a wheelchair-bound quadriplegic aristocrat in the bilingual film, which is simultaneously being made in Telugu and Tamil. Karthi will appear as his care-taker in it. Tamannaah and Jayasudha are essaying the female leads.

Reports suggest that the makers of “Dosth” have roped in Anushka Shetty to play the role of Nagarjuna’s ex-flame, which is said to be a crucial role in the movie. She has reportedly joined the film unit and is now busy shooting for the cameo role in Paris.

“Anushka joined the sets of the film in Paris for three days to shoot for her part. It’s a surprise cameo appearance which comes in at a crucial juncture in the film’s plot. She happens to be Nag’s ex-girlfriend who runs into him after a long time. The audiences will be in for a surprise,” a source close to the filmmaker told

Anushka Shetty has played female lead roles alongside Nagarjuna in several movies like “Super” (2005), “Don” (2007), “King” (2008), “Kedi” (2010), “Ragada” (2010) and “Damarukam” (2012). The amazing chemistry has made them one of the most popular Tollywood couples and now their chemistry will be one of the main highlights in “Dosth”.

“Dosth” is produced by Prasad V Potluri under the banner PVP Cinema. Interestingly, Nagarjuna is playing a cameo in PVP Cinema’s another upcoming production “Size Zero” starring Anushka Shetty in the lead role.
