Villages in Telangana to have updated pattadar passbooks

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Tuesday directed district officials to ensure all the villages in the State will have new updated Pattadar Passbook on March 11 and directed all district collectors to make sure that passbooks will reach the village one day in advance.

Chief Minister held a review meeting with all Secretaries, district collectors, Joint Collectors and other senior officials at Pragathi Bhavan on land purification exercise and distribution of new Pattadar passbooks, proposed New Panchayatraj Act, Farmers Investment Support Scheme and other flag ship programmes of the State governemnt.

Speaking on issue of new Pattadar Passbooks he said the passbooks distribution programs should start simultaneously on March 11 without fail. He directed district officials to involve all public representatives starting form Mandal Parishad representatives to legislators and district Ministers during the programme without fail. “The government is ready to release funds required for the distribution of Pattadar Passbooks,” Chief Minister said.

He directed officials to specially arrange a vehicle for each village for the transportation of passbooks. He also mentioned that a nodal officer for each village should also be appointed for the distribution of passbooks.

During the meeting Chief Minister also discussed about the conduct of Grampanchyat elections, Municipal Act and recently completed Land purification drive in district.
