Tollywood Veteran Actress Geetanjali Passes Away Due To Heart Attack

Senior actress Geetanjali passed away on Thursday. She died at the Apollo Hospital in Filmnagar, Hyderabad, after suffering a heart attack. Geetanjali, who has acted in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi films. He has acted in over 500 films in all languages. He has acted in films such as Kalavari Kodas, Dr Chakravarti, Late Manasas, Bobbiliyudham, , Goddess, Spy 116,, Sri Sri Mariyadaramanna, Nirdoshi, Magic and Greek Hero. Geetanjali’s performance in the first film Sitaramulu Kalyana was taken by the audience. She acted as a coactor for NTR.

Sriramamoorthy and Swamasundari are born in Kakinada in East Godavari district. Geetanjali, who studied for some years at St. Joseph Convent, Kakinada. From the age of five, Geetanjali danced with her older sister, Swarna, at the Gandharva Natya Mandali at Lakshmareddi and Srinivasan. She started dancing with her older sister from the age of six. Geetanjali’s real name is Mani. In 1963, she appeared in the Hindi film Parasmani. The film’s producers named her Lakshmikant-Pyarelal as “Geetanjali”.
The name is well established in the film industry. After the marriage with co-star Ramakrishna, she gave the films some break. In her newlyweds, who became a Character Artist, she acted in films like magic, bhai and greevaru. Geetanjali’s last film, Tamanna, is being produced by Dattij Mahalaxmi. Geetanjali joined the Telugu Desam Party during the 2009 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections.

NTR was named as his film teacher by Geetanjali. Sitaramulla Kalyanam was chosen as the heroine of the film and was introduced to the Telugu audience through the role of Sita. In every interview, Geetanjali had to say that the character is unique in Telugu.
