Thunderstorm And Lightning Threat In Hyderabad, Ghmc Alerts People

Rainfall in Hyderabad continues. The Department of Meteorology has warned of heavy rains in the coming hours. The thunderstorm and thunderstorm announced the possibility of thunderstorms. Against this backdrop, GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar appealed to city dwellers to stay in their offices and homes as much as possible.

Several parts of Hyderabad were affected by heavy rains on Wednesday (October 9) evening. Rainfall was recorded in Banjarahills, Jubilee Hills, Panjagutta, Amirpet, Khairatabad, Kukatpally, Erragadda, Moosapet, Madapur, Kothi and Shamshabad. The roads were all flooded. Heavy traffic jams occurred in several places. Motorists and pedestrians are in serious trouble.

GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar said steps are being taken to eliminate the problems caused by water storage and rainfall in the city. Disaster management and emergency teams have been deployed. All teams were alerted on the field.

Lokesh Kumar advised not to try to open the manholes where the flood waters were. GHMC has been informed. It is suggested to stay away from power poles and transformers.
