Surprised By The Experts On The Vortex In Godavari At Boat Capsized Place

Devi Pattanam Mandal in East Godavari district has finally found the spot where the boat that caused the immense tragedy of Godavari at Kachchaloor thickness has been identified. Auxiliary activities were interrupted by the high flow of the river. Hundreds of people worked hard for four days and found that the boat was 200 feet deep. The Uttarakhand Disaster Management Force has secured two days with the help of its advanced sonar system. The boat was found in the area around 11 am on Wednesday. Experts say, however, that it is a more difficult process to clear than to find out.

Discussions were held on how to overcome the disadvantages encountered while taking the boat out. Boat extraction work will begin from Thursday. Experts who found the boat to be nearly 200 feet deep have begun efforts to uncover it. Specializing in uncovering sunken boats, the Kakinada-based Dharmadi Satyam team was brought in. The team carried equipment such as a four-inch-thick 600-foot-long nylon rope, a 22mm-thick iron rope, common ropes, anchors, and de-linkers.

It was thought that if the ropes were anchored and left inside, the boat would cling to them and then pull it out. However, the sinking area of the boat sits in the vortex, causing severe disturbances to relief efforts. Even the boats that were trying to pull it out were trying to pull it in. Dharmadi said the truth .. He has never seen this great vortex. It is noteworthy that he saw this place on the Discovery Channel.

On the other hand, Mumbai salvage expert Gaurav Bhakshi was summoned to take the boat out. Along with Kakinada Port Officer Dharmashasta, he inspected the site. They concluded that the flow velocity was too high and that the auxiliary boats could not be sustained for long due to the vortex formation.

After a discussion with NDRF officer DN Singh and Uttarakhand DRF Inspector Jitendra Joshi, they decided that a 1,000-meter-long rope was needed to uncover the boat. Experts have suggested that the anchor could be built around the boat’s sinking area, leaving the rope as if it were in the water, and then pulling it to shore.
