No second chances, no more “OK let’s see how this goes, and then have a proper crack when absolutely necessary.” CSK vs RCB IPL Qualifier 2, 2015 is the final, with the winner inking an appointment with Mumbai Indians in the final.

Chennai Super Kings were at a distinct disadvantage in one qualifier against Mumbai Indians, despite finishing top of the table, as the game was played in the strength of MI is the Wankhede Stadium. This time, however, will be different since it is expected that most of the crowd in Ranchi to be yellow.

Ranchi is the hometown of CSK captain MS Dhoni, and with it comes the inevitable support. Dhoni is always one of the most popular, if not more, players in any field, but volume levels get crank until little more each time is in focus in Ranchi.

“We played much here last year and was a key part of our season,” said coach Stephen Fleming CSK. “There are some attachment so well with this place is the birthplace of Captain

“But as a team is important that we work, no matter what the surroundings are. If you do not play well, you do not get the goodies.

“We are confident that we have a good game on us and the environment we will satisfy you. Play Mumbai in Mumbai is tough, but come to Ranchi to reach another final IPL is a great opportunity. It’s all there for us and have to make it count. ”

The batting will undoubtedly be the key to CSK. Brendon McCullum’s departure was a great loss to the side and fighting with Dwayne Smith and Michael Hussey careers just to play their third match in IPL 2015, the above order is a little iffy.

Suresh Raina has not quite been able to find his usual touch IPL this season, but if CSK are to stop RCB in Qualifier 2, one of its three main needs for big races.

The Royal Challengers, however, probably says “more of the same, please.” The team has gelled at the right time, with Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers coming to the fore more often, while some of the young – Mandeep Singh against Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator – have stepped up admirably well.

RCB’s bowling looks as good as it has always sought the hand, Mitchell Starc to mind admirably. The likes of Harshal Patel, whose bright spells have been a bit under the radar, and Yuzvendra Chahal Sreenath Aravind has also been quite good, so it is difficult for hitters to get easy runs.

And when you can not put enough runs on the board against a team that has Gayle, Kohli and de Villiers wielding the willow, you will be in serious trouble.

So, Raina, Hussey, Smith and Faf Du Plessis need for the first few races, allowing MS Dhoni, Ravindra-how forgotten the bat Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo to cut loose and play with total freedom in the end.
