Director Puri Jagannadh’s son Akash Puri made his heroic debut with Andhra Pori which was a dud at box office. Post release of this film, Akash hasn’t signed any new film as Puri thought of preparing him fully. The young chap is currently undergoing training in acting and other departments require for one to become a hero at abroad.
Puri has announced to relaunch Akash as hero after two years under his own direction, rather risking by giving the responsibility to someone else. As of now, Puri has made 33 films and he said to have pleased with all of them. But, Pokiri and Temper were ‘very special’ films for him.
In fact, Puri has the knack to make someone a star. He provided super hits to all top stars in industry including Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, NTR and being son is an advantage for Akash as the director-father would take extra care on script writing and making.
Fact is despite result Akash was praised for his performance in Andhra Pori and proved his acting prowess previously as child artists in Dhoni and some other films.
Meanwhile, Puri is busy with Kalyan Ram starrer Ism is slated to release later this month, as informed by the director. Puri also announced to make films with Mahesh Babu and NTR as his next directorial ventures.
