Pro Kabaddi League: Pirates thrash Bulls 38-23 to move to second spot

85Patna Pirates ended a two-match losing streak to defeat Bengaluru Bulls 38-23 in the fourth season of the Pro Kabaddi League here at Sree Kanteerava Stadium on Wednesday.

Rajesh Mondal had a stellar game and scored nine points and was ably supported by Surjeet Singh as Patna Pirates inflicted a heavy defeat on Bengaluru Bulls. The Bulls are yet to win at home in this season.

Patna Pirates moved to the second spot with 31 points from eight games. Bengaluru Bulls’ hopes for qualifying for semi finals were dealt a severe blow as they crashed to their fifth successive defeat and have 21 points from 10 games.

Rohit Kumar scored the first point for Bengaluru Bulls in the first minute whereas Patna opened their account with a bonus point. Surjeet Singh scored two raid points in the fourth minute as the game was level at 3-3. Bengaluru Bulls forced a super tackle in the eighth minute as they led 7-5.
