The buzz in town is that T-superhit Hindi film “Piku” is being remade in Telugu with victory Venkatesh and Samantha likely to test the lead roles in the Tollywood version.
Reports suggest that the brother and producer Suresh Babu Venkatesh recently watched “Piku”. Impressed with the film, which was planning to remake the film in Telugu. He is in talks with the creators of the hit Bollywood film “Piku”. If all goes well, the film was remade under his home Suresh Productions banner.
Written by Juhi Chaturvedi, “Piku” is a dramedy, an emotional relationship between a Bengali architect and his hypochondriac father, who suffers from constipation. His emotions unravel when they left on a drive from Delhi to Calcutta. Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone have played major roles in the film, which is a blockbuster.
Venkatesh recently starred in three films back-to-back remake as “Masala”, “Drushyam” and “Gopala Gopala”. He is also willing to play the lead role in the remake of “Piku”. Reportedly will reprise the role played by Amitabh Bachchan in the original film.
Suresh Babu and Venkatesh are keen to rope in Samantha for the female lead role in the remake of “Piku”. She is on the list of actresses whose names are being considered for the Telugu version. The creators of the likely new version reportedly planned to approach it once acquired remake rights.
After the release of “S / S Satyamurthy” Samantha has not signed a single movie Telugu. She has five Tamil films “10 Enradhukulla”, “24”, Vada Chennai, untitled project Velraj and Atlee untitled film in her kitty. He is currently busy with the shooting of these films.
If you sign the new version of “Piku” it is going to be a movie comeback for her, so the Telugu films are concerned.
