For a while, news doing the rounds was that Parineeti Chopra was all set to make her south debut opposite Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu in AR Murugadoss’ Telugu-Tamil bilingual. However, we now hear that it is not Parineeti, but Rakul Preet Singh of ‘Yaariyan’ fame who will be a part of this project. Confirming this, Rakul says, “We will start shooting for the film from August.”
We hear that Parineeti was given a token advance for the project as well, but it didn’t work out. However, talking about this, Parineeti says, “There are always multiple projects under discussion. And it would be a little unprofessional on my part to speak about any until things are finalised. Coming specifically to this one, I am neck deep in work with my next Bollywood film, so working out dates would be a problem. Having said that, I’m a huge fan of Murugadoss sir’s work and would be delighted to work with him when the opportunity arises.”
