Cash for vote Scam: ACB continues Quizzing TDP Revanth Reddy

HYDERABAD: For the second consecutive day on Sunday, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) questioned Telangana Telugu Desam Party (TDP) legislator A. Revanth Reddy and two others in the scam money for votes.

ACB officials questioned the lawmaker and his two assistants Sebastian Harry and Uday Simha at the headquarters of the ACB in Banjara Hills.

ACB detectives had questioned Revanth Reddy for two hours on Saturday.

The lawyer of the legislator Pramod Reddy alleged that ACB is mentally harassing his client. He said the agency was violating court orders.

A city court Friday sent the accused to the ACB custody for four days.

Revanth Reddy, a member of Telangana legislature, was arrested by the ACB when delivered Rs.50 lakh to Elvis Stephenson member appointed on May 31 to make you vote for TDP-BJP candidate in elections to the legislative council. The CPF, which had set the trap of a complaint by Stephenson, also arrested two aides TDP leader.

The next day they were sent to judicial custody for 14 days.

The ACB is seeking Revanth information about the source of money and also about Rs.4.5 crore remaining promised as part of the agreement Rs.5 crore.

It also questions about the complicity of other political leaders who mentioned during the conversation with the designated member.

Telangana Home Minister N. Narasimha Reddy said that there is evidence that TDP President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu spoke with the nominated member and some other legislators from Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) over the phone.

The TRS leaders have alleged that Naidu is the mastermind of the scam and demanded that he became the first defendant in the case.
