As Many As Dead And Several Injured In Cylinder Blast At Uttar Pradesh

The tragedy struck in Uttar Pradesh on Monday morning. At least 11 people were killed when a gas cylinder exploded in a house in the village of Walidpur, near the Mohdabad police station in Mau district. Another 15 were seriously injured. The two-storey building collapsed after the explosion. Police and firefighters arrived at the scene of the accident and aided in the rescue. Police are hoping to find someone else trapped under the debris. More details on this are needed. People around the neighborhood were terrified by the loud noise following the explosion. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed shock over the accident.

He expressed his deepest sympathies to the families of the deceased and said he would support the victims in every way. Officials were instructed to expedite the rescue operations and evacuate as much as possible from the debris. On the other hand, many of the debris seems to be trapped. The locals are cooperating with the police in relief efforts. The accident occurred around 7.30 am. According to preliminary information, there was an explosion of gas leak from the cylinder.
