As everyone knows, this movie is going to be produced by Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan under his Konidela Production Company. Instead of director AR Murugadoss, it will be Telugu director VV Vinayak who is going to step into his shoes now.
But who will be the heroine in this project? There was a lot of speculation that it could be Nayanthara, but sources say that it is Anushka Shetty who is going to be starring opposite Chiranjeevi. She has two other films – Baahubali 2 and Baghmati – and needs to adjust her dates for this film.
Chiranjeevi did not want the shooting of his 150th movie to start in the hot summer month of May. Even director Rajamouli had cancelled shoot in May as it became too hot to work. The date that has been confirmed now for the 150th film is Monday, June 6. This is when the movie will go on floors. The remake of Kaththi is going to tailor-made for the Megastar and will have all the elements that the Telugu audience will like.
In this Telugu remake, it looks like Megastar will sport a handlebar moustache possibly for the cop role. He will be playing a dual role in the film – one as a cop and one as a petty criminal. The music director for the Tamil film was Anirudh but in Telugu it is likely Devi Sri Prasad.
