GST cess: Honda increases model prices up to ₹ 89,069

hondaHonda Cars India said on Thursday it has raised prices for its models – City, BR-V, and CR-V models, ranging from ₹$7,003 to$89,069.

The revised prices came into effect as of September 11, due to additional compensation in the TST between 2-7 percent, Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) said in a statement.

Its medium-sized sedan city is more expensive for ₹ 7,003 and ₹ 18,791 depending on the variants.

BR-V SUV prices have been raised between ₹ 12,490 and ₹ 18,242. and CR-V SUV ranging from ₹ 75,304 to ₹ 89,069.

Earlier this week Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) had announced a rise in prices for some models, including Innova Crysta and SUV Premium Fortuner, ranging from ₹ 13,000 to ₹ 1.6 lakh.

The price of Innova Crysta has increased around Rs 78,000, Corolla Altis for ₹ 72,000, Etios platinum for ₹ 13,000 and Fortuner for ₹ 1.6 lakh.

With the government notifying the imposition of an increase in cases, the effective GST rate for medium-sized cars will be 45% and for large cars will be 48%.

The fair will be 50% in sport utility vehicles (SUVs), which include cars longer than 4,000 mm and with a ground clearance of 170 mm or more.

However, the price of small gasoline and diesel cars, hybrid cars and those carrying up to 13 passengers has not risen.

Under the GST scheme, automobiles attract the highest tax rate of 28% and a fee is also imposed.
